1. Electronic Survey Kit - On-Site Interviews
SurveyWorks’ on-site marketing research system reduces the cost of interviewing and speeds the turn-around of the reports. Traditionally, one staff person interviews one visitor at a time. The SurveyWorks approach is to setup several computer stations running the same survey. One staff person is then responsible for selecting respondents and bringing them over to an unoccupied station. SurveyWorks runs in a lockdown fashion so there is no danger of the respondent doing any “hacking”. The respondent is free to answer the questions at their own speed and there is no halo effect or interview bias. Using this method one staff can look after 6 to 10 stations. Two additional advantages are that there is no time or cost associated with coding and keypunching the data and results are ready to go with a click of a button.

• Data collection software runs well on older computers (Pentium 1 minimum).
• Use several data collection computers to speed the data capture.
• Eliminates the Halo effect of personal interviews.
• Staff does not have to be as highly trained since they are not asking the questions.

2. Electronic Survey Kit with Remote Server – for On-Going Exit Surveys
SurveyWorks is often run as an electronic comment card in a stand-alone computerized kiosk. The questions and resulting data are stored on a remote server. This means that you can retrieve the data and change the questions from the comfort of your own desktop. Hence, the museum can quickly obtain on-going visitor feedback in an organized and cost effective manner. Open-ended comments and frequency tables are automatically complied to provide managers with the information they need to make decisions.

• On-going “comment card” style information.
• Upload and download files to the remote server with simple menu commands.
• Automatically summaries the data and prepares it for insertion into reports.
• Use your own kiosk or let SurveyWorks provide one for you.
• Give your tech guys a break; use our servers for $20/month.

With the same easy to use editor you can now export your surveys to run in a web browser. Use the simple built-in menu commands to upload your surveys to the web and pull your valuable data down to your computer. 4. Evaluation CD – for School Program / Outreach
SurveyWorks has developed a unique way to facilitate the evaluation of school and outreach programs. An “Evaluation CD” is given to the teacher at the end of the program. When the teacher uses the CD back at the school (were they have time to reflect) the software pulls the questions down from the web. At the conclusion of the evaluation the raw data is save up to a remote Internet server. The simple menu commands let you quickly view/print/copy & paste frequency charts and open-ended comments.

• Auto starting CD and clear question structure gives high response rates.
• Flexible even after the CD’s are made because the evaluation questions are pulled from the Internet..
• The CD saves the survey data back to the Internet – completed survey data is immediately available.
• Opens a HTML page at the conclusion of the survey for thank-you or promotional opportunity.
• Optional email reminder software improves response rates.
• Give your tech guys a break; use our servers for $20/month.
• Purchase CD’s ready to give out for $1 each.
